Medical translation services cannot make mistakes
January 8th, 2010 by admin
Health is important to everyone. A mistake in a medical translation would have drastic consequences, that’s why it is important to have at least two medical translators check the same content to avoid making mistakes which will cost the company severe losses. However, human translation is much better than using certain software packages as the human element can eliminate certain mistakes that the machine may not recognize or spot.
The medical translation workers say that a person’s health is far too valuable and delicate to be trusted with a computer or an automated translator.
This could be seen in medical translations that use Latin language and translate it into a non-Latin, one such as Hebrew.
Medical translation services should make it a priority to cross check documents that are being circulated to a large number of people such as medications notices and articles and make sure that the content of the original document is the same as in what is translated.
Even though one is not aware that there are several inexperienced medical translation companies handling translations and make a lot of errors, they are covered up by their superiors or the translation company to avoid embarrassment or disrepute to the clients. As when word gets out even their existing clients will pull out and join another medical translation company.
From experience only professional medical translation can guarantee that there are no mistakes in their work and one can totally depend on them for the most accurate medical translations. Health cannot be risked is their working motto.
