Medical translation should be accurate as with any other translation but since it deals with medication associated with professional and personal use, one should be extra careful. That’s the reason Medical Translation services use the most qualified and highly experienced personnel when choosing to use them as medical translators.  

There are many companies that are going though many court cases due to improper use of medical translations and misinterpreting them in foreign languages. The damage to the manufacturer’s reputation and business is already done by this time and it usually goes into the press unlike other issues.  

Some manufacturers use their own distributor or in-house medical translation services to make their products available in different languages. This is a very expensive practice.  

Badly translated instructions and ingredients on medical transcriptions can result in some legal repercussions therefore cutting corners and trying to get a cheap job done is not the best way for medical translation companies. 

There are also regulatory requirements that should be considered by the Medical translation service, as certain drugs are not approved by the health authorities in other countries.  

Often when a medical translation service makes an error in the translation the end user is not aware, as most medicine used by the end user is on a physician’s description, they may not know it until its fatal.
